I just completed a swing through Arkansas and Texas with my sister and her family (like me, my nephew is also a presidential history buff). During this trip I visited three presidential libraries that I had not been to before - and I have now visited all thirteen. My First Presidential Site Selfie
After 40+ years of visiting presidential sites with friends and family, I visited this site alone, and thus, took my first presidential site selfie. Click the selfie below to find out which president lived here (and to discover the presidential first that this building represents):
(and it's 2015, why does spell-check want to change selfie to sulfide?!)

William McKinley - 25th President
Note the patriotic shirt I'm wearing! This photo is from our second trip to the McKinley Memorial in 1977. Click the photo to go to my blog post for today and see other McKinley sites - and to see how much I grew from my first trip to his Memorial :-)

A cherished memory of a visit to... Indiana?
It was Labor Day weekend of 1975. The summer that was coming to an end had been a busy one for us - we had made several short trips visiting presidential sites all over the neighboring state of Ohio.

Updates to Cleveland Page
Spent some time this fall driving around western New York. My employer sent me to a conference in Niagara Falls, but I took a couple vacation days and flew instead to Rochester, spending three days driving westward visiting sites for several presidents. I have just updated my Grover Cleveland page, adding photos taken in Fayetteville and two sites in Buffalo. Click the photo below to visit:

Ohio in 1975
Being that we lived in West Virginia along the Ohio River, we were very close to many presidential sites, as seven US presidents were born in the state of Ohio. In 1975, we drove around and visited many of them. Click the photo of my father and me to find out who this one is...

Millard Fillmore - 13th President
I've been absent from the blogosphere for a few months, but I've returned with a new page for Millard Fillmore. I had a conference last fall in Niagara Falls, so I convinced a friend and colleague (who was too shy to appear in any of the photos with me) to take a drive across western New York to visit every Fillmore site that I could find.
