I've visited many types of sites: birthplaces, homes, offices, memorials, burial sites, etc. Some are original buildings, some have been rebuilt, and some are just a sign by the side of the road indicating where a building once stood.
Below are links to the pages where I have documented my visits (as well as the places that I have not yet visited). In addition, because my goal is to visit the birthplace and burial site for each president, there will be special pages just for those. 1 - George Washington 2 - John Adams 3 - Thomas Jefferson 4 - James Madison 5 - James Monroe 6 - John Quincy Adams 7 - Andrew Jackson 8 - Martin Van Buren 9 - William Henry Harrison 10 - John Tyler 11 - James Polk 12 - Zachary Taylor 13 - Millard Fillmore 14 - Franklin Pierce 15 - James Buchanan 16 - Abraham Lincoln 17 - Andrew Johnson 18 - Ulysses S. Awesome site Steve. You sure do have a lot of "Presidential memories over the years visiting their birthplaces and homes. Mine have been limited to Jefferson's Monticello (4-5 times), Monroe's in Va and Cleveland's in NJ.
ReplyDeleteLike you I have had an intense and undying desire to learn as much as possible about our Presidents. That is the reason I was drawn to your site. My niece Melanie sent me the link knowing I would enjoy it.
Keep up the great work (pleasure); I look forward to any updates.
